GIANNI VERSACE was an innovative stylist who in the 80s Together with Giorgio Armani, brought Italian fashion to the top of the world.

After reading this guide you will be able to find the production date of the perfumes VERSACE from 1981 to today.

At first glance the batch code may seem a bit complicated but by following the general rules of my previous guide that you find HERE plus other specific rules you will be able to extricate yourself
without problems.

Let's start: There are three different
'eras 'in VERSACE perfumes

1) First Era: ' Made in France 'by
Yves Saint Laurent (1981-1988)

2) Second Era: 'GIVER ', Made in Italy (1988-2004)

3) Third Era: ' Euroitalia ', Made in Italy (2005-today)

There are different types of batch codes but generally from 1981

to 2009 the first number ro indicates the year.

FIRST ERA (1981-1988): Versace perfumes were produced by Yves Saint Laurent (usually at Squibb factories) and the batch codes are very similar to those of Yves Saint Laurent. So you should check if the box and bottle have 'Made in France ' or 'PARIS ' on the stickers. Batch codes are generally 4-5 digits;

the first number indicates the year. (for example: 32563 = year 1983

Keep these rules good also for the perfumes Yves Saint Laurent (1981-1988), but soon I will

publish the guide also for YSL

SECOND ERA (1988-2004) Versace has bought back the perfume division from Yves Saint Laurent. On the boxes
and bottles you will find 'Made in Italy'.

Producers can be:

1) GIVER spa, or

2) Vepro spa, or

3) Versace perfumes spa

The distributors can be:

1) VEPRO USA in the period 1991-1995

or

2) Versace Profumi USA since 1995

3)Fragrance Marketing Group INC since 1995

Batch codes are 5 or 6 digits and the
first number indicates the year Example 312646 = year 1993 if the distributor is VEPRO USA or 2003 if the distributor is Versace Profumi

USA or Fragrance Marketing Group INC

TERZA ERA (since 2005) On the box and on the bottle it is reported produced in Italy by Euroitalia from 2005 to 2009 6-digit batch

code, the first number is the year
