Balenciaga is a fashion house founded by the master couturier and fashion genius Cristóbal Balenciaga, the luxury emperor of the 1960s, whom Dior called “the master of us all”. He is regarded as one of the three great men of his time with Coco Chanel and Christian Dior. Consequently, it is no wonder that Balenciaga fragrances were designed to be iconic and timeless. Balenciaga perfumes stand out for their elegance, class and refinement.

A story that began in 1947, when Le Dix, a floral chypre perfume for women, was presented, the first success of the Spanish master, the first of a long series.

Two years pass and another masterpiece (now unobtainable) that follows in the footsteps of Le Dix, La Fuite des Heures (Fleeting Moment).
Only great successes will follow in future years in Balenciaga women's perfumery: Quadrille in 1955, Michelle in 1979, Rumba in 1989.

Men were no less fortunate, because Balenciaga tailored amazing perfumes such as Ho Hang in 1972, a woody - spicy perfume on an amber base, which is still sought after today, as Balenciaga fragrances are truly timeless.

Many wondered if it could be done better, we cannot give judgments but Portos, gentlemen Portos in 1982 is something to leave you speechless, a woody rich in leather and fairytale moss.
